Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto Drag Promote Aishwarya Rai Loreal

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan praised Sonam Kapoor and Freida Pinto, who became spokesperson for Loreal for their appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Told The Times of India he said, "I am happy with Sonam and Freida, two beautiful women who were invited to the festival this year. Signs that India accounted for. This is the marker that this country is important," he said.

Previously, Kapoor reportedly asked to replace Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is aged 37 years and was considered too old to represent the product.

At that moment, precisely 2009, Kapoor praised the career Rai-Bachchan and says that he would be happy if we could reach a tenth success Rai-Bachchan.

Dan Eldon

While trawling the internet, among the facebook stalking and Harry Potter geekery that generally takes place between the hours of 12 and 4 on a nightshift, I went and had a look at the new TOMS summer collection, their shoes are perhaps the most comfortable I have ever tried on. The new range is based on this man, Dan Eldon.

December Vogue is by far my favorite, Christmas party dresses, impossibley glittering snow, fantastical photo shoots.

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months........

I have always loved No doubt and their lead singer Gwen Stefani so there's no surprise in me liking her L.A.M.B label. Unlike Mrs Beckham, Gwen Stefani has her own intrinsic style and this shows through in her Spring/Summer looks, bright bold and beautiful!

Erdem can do no wrong as far as I am concerned, their prints are beautiful and the use of patchwork is something I'd like to see more of.

Beautiful Simplicity is what is expected of Helmut Lang and this season they don't disappoint, the pale palette is set off by the one blood red dress, stunning.

Nude's Again?

Sometimes I really would like to able to just go mad and create beautiful dresses for women to wear to exclusive party's and on the red carpet! We were never given the opportunity on my degree as it was considered to close to costume or wedding dress design. I will just have to live out my dream through Marchesa's wonderful dresses.

I love her Perfume and I love her clothes so its no surprise that I love her her new collection, its probably because it calls to my inner hippy with the riotous use of floral's and patchwork. The neutrals work just as well if not better though!!
Organic by John Patrick, is a simple collection using recycled plastics to create sharp and simple yet beautifully executed dresses and tailored Pieces.

Fashion Week.....

So looks like there's been a touch of the east in the collections so far, I really like the necklines at Vera Wang, Origami like folds at Carolina Herrera and the patchwork like fabrics at Rodarte.

Hand Knitting

Today me and mum went to look at the local knitting shop, ready for autumn. http://www.baaramewe.co.uk/ My mum is a fantastic knitter, and we got the Land girls pattern book
How ever as much as I would love to support a local buissness and but locally produced wool, i just can't afford to pay £38 pounds for a small cardi! So I bought the wool and buttons from Martin House charity shop for £10.

ASOS

Capsual collection from ASOS using traditional african batiks, I think that what makes these designs is definatly the fabric. Simple shapes, bright bold fabrics.

Suno

Suno is a beautiful New York fashion label.

The designers spent some years collecting textiles in Kenya, and created the label in response to the political problems that the country has recently experienced. They believe that building a successful public company will help the country, as well as employing Kenyan workers and giving them a fair wage.

The designing takes place in New York and the current collection is inspired by Gustav Klimt, Traditional East African textiles, Turkey, Paris and India. Samples are then taken over to Kenya where they are produced by local artisans.
